Could this statistic be right?

At the same time, the study said, the number of houses put up for sale in Orleans Parish - 4,433 - far exceeded the number sold since Katrina - 273. The average sale price for a New Orleans home slid from $292,735 six months after Katrina to $247,436 in June, the report said.

Maybe we could just change the FEMA acronym with something that would represent these 4 large companies instead? It appears that they'll be doing all of the disaster recovery work for the US in the future...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore

The ability of Americans lately to set aside constitutional protections is rather remarkable, and their interest in pushing their own belief in Christianity to anybody within shouting distance.

I can only imagine what the backlash would be if this planned memorial would have a representation of Allah or Ram on it, rather than Jesus.
