Hurricane Katrina Aftermath (and other stuff I find interesting)

You read about this after every major natural disaster, that 9 months later there is a boom in the birth of babies. Sure, some of it has to do with a lack of cable and electricity, but I think there is something to the theory that something kicks in to try to preserve the species when the population is stressed.
