The state Office of Financial Institutions has urged financial institutions to extend repayment terms on loans, restructure debt and reduce late fees on past due loan payments.The banking department's web site, www.ofi.state.la.us will provide links to federal regulatory sites which will provide contact information for the affected financial institutions.
